ABOUT THE GARBERG FORCE
The Garberg Force is a family-run, local initiative to fight cystic fibrosis, an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States.
Started by the Garberg family in 2006, following the diagnosis of two of the family’s three boys--Luke and Josh Garberg--with the disease, it raises funds each year to benefit the Orange County chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a nonprofit organization that is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis.
Through annual walks, local partnerships and fundraising events, The Garberg Force has raised over $190,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation since 2007. These funds have gone directly to funding cystic fibrosis research and development, including the creation and testing of new drugs and treatments.
